Based on the dolch group of signed words: The list of doll site words is a compilation of the most commonly used sight words. These contain 80% of the words you would find in a normal children's book and 50% of the words for adults. Once the child knows this list of words it makes it easier to read because the child can then concentrate on the rest of the words.
